Start 2021 off on the right foot with a peaceful hike through the crisp winter woods. During a New Year’s Day hike, participants will listen for seasonal birds, look for wildlife tracks, and enjoy a healthful walk while enjoying trail-side company.
It’s open to the whole family from 9 to 10 a.m. Jan. 1 at LeRoy Oakes Forest Preserve, gathering outside its Creek Bend Nature Center at 37W700 Dean St., St. Charles.
The free program is for all ages. Advance registration is required by calling 630-444-3190 or emailing programs@kaneforest.com.
Masks are required at all programs. Group sizes will be limited to 10 people.
