‘Swedish Days Swindle’ author to sign books at Little Traveler

“The Swedish Days Swindle,” a mystery novella set in Geneva, will be released during the Swedish Days Festival, and there will be a book signing from noon to 3 p.m. Saturday, June 26, at The Little Traveler, 404 S. Third St., Geneva, officials announced in a news release.

Author J.B. Michaels had prepared for the release of the book for the 2020 festival, which was canceled because of the pandemic.

“Last year, after the success of ‘The Christmas Walk Caper’ at the ‘Tiny Wanderer,’ I decided that, hey, I just really love writing these books, and I want to write more of them,” Michaels said in the release.

“I’m very, very excited to be back at The Traveler doing the signing … during Swedish Days,” Michaels said.

Michaels’ last appearance at The Little Traveler was during the 2019 Christmas Walk, when he signed copies of “The Christmas Walk Caper,” the first in his Mac & Millie cozy mystery series, the release stated.

Each of the novellas in the series features familiar Geneva settings, as well as several businesses with fictional names that may sound familiar.

Michaels hosted virtual book-related events in 2020, but this year, he can meet festivalgoers in person.

Copies of “The Swedish Days Swindle” will be available for sale at the signing event. Michaels also will take questions.
