Ogletree, 29, is a former 2013 first-round draft pick of the Rams. He played five seasons with the Rams, two seasons with the New York Giants and appeared in two games with the New York Jets last season. He has appeared in 95 NFL games with 94 starts.
The Bears have invested in several backup linebackers during the offseason. They signed eighth-year veteran Christian Jones, who can play inside or outside linebacker, and fourth-year veteran inside linebacker Austin Calitro.
Bears veterans Roquan Smith and Danny Trevathan are expected to start in the two inside linebacker positions.
