Bolingbrook police seek help investigating gas station shooting

Bolingbrook police are seeking the public’s help to apprehend two men who were involved in an incident where an 18-year-old was shot and wounded at a gas station.

About 9:30 p.m. Thursday, officers responded to call of shots fired at the Citgo gas station, 102 W. Boughton Road, near Route 53, Bolingbrook police said.

When officers arrived, they were informed that two men were involved in a dispute with a Streamwood male teenager, police said.

“The offenders then shot at the victim and struck him in the arm area,” police said.

The victim called his family and then 911 was contacted.

The suspects fled in a “newer, dark Chrysler 300, possibly displaying a temporary registration, tinted windows and dark-colored rims,” police said.

Paramedics took the victim to a local hospital, where he was treated.

The incident is under investigation. Anyone with information can remain anonymous and contact the Bolingbrook Police Department's investigations division or Crime Stoppers of Bolingbrook by phone at 630-378-4772 or online at bolingbrookcrimestoppers.org.

Bolingbrook police also recommended people use the P3 Tips app that allows the public to share information anonymously with Crime Stoppers programs, law enforcement agencies, schools and corporations.
