DuPage County reports 790 cases Monday, 8 deaths, region's positivity rate remains at 14.5%

The DuPage County Health Department on Monday reported 790 new confirmed and probable cases of COVID-19 in the county, with 8 deaths: 1 man in his 40s, 1 man in his 60s, 2 men in their 70s, 1 woman in her 80s, 2 women in their 90s and 1 man in his 90s.

The county now has seen a total of 39,208 coronavirus cases including 697 deaths, according to the health department. The recovery rate among DuPage County cases as of November 10 was 96.6%.

The West Suburban region (DuPage and Kane counties) has seen four days of positivity increases and four days of hospital admission increases. The region's positivity rate remained flat at 14.5%. Currently, 17% of medical/surgical beds are available and 19% of ICU beds. Within this region, Kane County's seven-day positivity average is at 16.7%, and DuPage County is at 13.2%.

Finally, within the DuPage/Kane region, there are 70 available, staffed ICU beds out of 373 total, a decrease of five from Sunday.

The Illinois Department of Public Health reported 8,322 new confirmed and probable cases of COVID-19 and 47 additional deaths Monday.

By town, Wheaton has had 2,007 total cases, Glen Ellyn 1,453, Lombard 1,953, Villa Park 1,162, Hinsdale 603, Westmont 992, Darien 774, Woodridge 1,273, Downers Grove 1,721, Elmhurst 1,983, Warrenville 607 and Winfield 470. Addison has had 2,533 confirmed cases, Naperville 3,208, Carol Stream 2,121 and West Chicago 2,310.
