Testing site in Carroll County draws 253 over weekend

SAVANNA – The Illinois Department of Public Health tested 253 people at a mobile testing site in Savanna on Sunday.

In August, there were three days of testing in Carroll County which brought in 221 people, though testing was cut short one of those days due to a storm moving through the area.

So far, the IDPH has held testing sites in Savanna and Mt. Carroll, and is currently looking to hold one next month.

In the meantime, residents of the Sauk Valley might have to make a bit of a road trip to get to a testing site. There will be testing at Midwest Medical Center in Galena on November 29, and at Highland Community College in Freeport December 4-5.
