Hy-Vee reinstates reserved shopping hour for “high risk” customers

Hour will be offered from 7 to 8 a.m. Monday through Friday

Hy-Vee began reinstating its reserved shopping hour for customers considered “high risk” in response to the recent increase in COVID-19 cases throughout the eight states the company serves.

The reserved hours will be offered at all Hy-Vee locations from 7 to 8 a.m. Monday through Friday and is dedicated for customers ages 60 and older, expectant mothers and anyone with underlying health conditions that make them more susceptible to serious illness.

Peru Hy-Vee, located at 1651 Midtown Road, confirmed this release, stating the store began to offer the reserved hour starting Monday morning.

All other customers are asked to respect for these at risk customers and to limit their shopping to before or after this dedicated time.

Hy-Vee said it believes the reserved shopping hour is necessary to best serve customers who are at a higher risk of serious illness due to the rise in COVID-19 cases throughout the area.
