Ottawa

Anthony Muscarella, 45, New York, was cited Tuesday at 500 Etna Road on a complaint of criminal trespass to property. Muscarella was released with a court date.

Mathew Sowers, 47, Spring Valley, was arrested Tuesday at La Salle and West Washington streets on a failure to appear warrant. Sowers was taken to La Salle County Jail.

David M. Pierce, 57, Ottawa, was cited Tuesday on East 1961st Road on complaints of DUI, driving while license suspended, no insurance, improper lane usage, failure to give info after striking property and failure to report accident to police authority. Pierce was released with a court date.

Albert A. Janzen, 62, Ottawa, was cited Tuesday on the 1100 block of East Norris Drive on a complaint of driving while license suspended. Janzen was released with a court date.

Streator

Brandon Freeman, 32, Streator, was arrested 11:31 p.m. Tuesday at his residence on the 700 block of North Otter Creek Street on a complaint of domestic battery. Freeman was taken to La Salle County Jail.

Fire calls

Ottawa firefighters responded 10:57 p.m. Tuesday to 900 Paul St. for an alarm set off by cooking odors.

At 1:05 a.m. Wednesday, Ottawa firefighters responded to 1781 E. Morris Dr. for a smoke detector that went off for an unknown reason.
