A.A. Anderson, an agricultural and turf equipment dealership in Harvard, has been acquired by Johnson Tractor, a full-service equipment company headquartered in Janesville, Wisconsin, according to a news release.
The acquisition marks the fifth store location for Johnson Tractor, which has two in Wisconsin, Janesville and Juda, and three now in Illinois, Rochelle, Amboy and Harvard, according to the release. The tentative closing date is scheduled for Dec. 31.
The acquistion is billed as a "significant expansion in the north Chicagoland area" for the Wisconsin-based company that will allow the company to serve all market segments including consumer, construction and agriculture primarily with the Kubota brand," according to the release.
The dealership sells Case IH and Kubota product lines of turf, construction and agricultural equipment as well as complementary equipment lines.
“A.A. Anderson has provided us an opportunity to better serve our agriculture, construction and residential segments,” Johnson Tractor President Leo Johnson said in the release. “We are excited to have the opportunity to grow and strengthen our relationship with customers and we look forward to continuing the long history that A. A. Anderson has left us as a previous market leader in the greater Chicagoland area.”
A.A. Anderson was founded in 1938 and provides a range of primarily Kubota equipment, including Kubota tractors, turf and utility vehicles as well as a number of other equipment lines.
