Lisa Sons, an Illinois Department of Natural Resource coordinator and University of Illinois Extension master naturalist, will present the program “Fall Bird Migration and Winter Feeding” 6 p.m. Nov. 10 in a virtual event hosted by La Salle Public Library.
Sons will explore the following questions about migratory birds:
• What types of birds migrate in the fall?
• How far do they travel?
• Why do they migrate?
• What species of birds stay all year-round?
• What types of food should be put out for our winter backyard feathered friends?
At the end of the presentation, Sons will answer audience questions using a live chat.
This program is free and open to the public, but those who are interested should register at https://bit.ly/3jfnxd3. For information, email Rachael Blomquist, digital content librarian, at rblomquist@lasalle.lib.il.us or call the library at 815-223-2341.
