ROCK FALLS – The Illinois Department of Public Health tested 529 people over the course of a two-day temporary mobile testing site Saturday and Sunday at the Whiteside County Health Department in Rock Falls.

IDPH tested 265 people on Sunday after 264 came through Saturday in what health department officials termed higher than expected turnout for the drive-through testing.

Another mobile testing will be held from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Nov. 5 at the Dixon Elks Lodge at 1279 Franklin Grove Road.

Anyone can be tested, whether they currently have COVID-19 symptoms or not.

Testing, via nasal swab, is free and results will come in four to seven days. Residents should bring their insurance card, but insurance is not necessary to get tested.
