Light snow could fall Monday morning north of Interstate 80

Temperatures will get into the 30s overnight

Light snow is possible Sunday night into Monday morning along Interstate 80 and north, according to the National Weather Service in Chicago.

Temperatures are expected to get as low as 35 degrees in Ottawa at about 9 a.m. There is as much as a 50% chance of showers at 6 a.m. Monday. The AccuWeather forecast isn't calling for snow in Ottawa.

Moving north into the Mendota area, however, the forecast calls for a wintry mix of snow, sleet and rain Monday morning. The snow is not expected to accumulate to anything significant. There may be icy conditions on the roadway.

High temperatures will be in the 40s Monday and Tuesday in La Salle County — with a low expected of 27 degrees on Tuesday night — before a warm up of highs into the 50s beginning Wednesday.

Halloween is expected to be sunny with a high of 56 and a low of 40 with a 5% chance of precipitation.
