A pedestrian was struck and injured by a motorist at 8:33 p.m. Friday on Harrison Street at Washington Street (Route 34) in downtown Oswego, according to village police.
Police said the victim, a 69 year-old Westchester man, was transported to an area hospital.
The driver of the vehicle, Stephen K. Pederson, 34, of Fox Ridge Lane, Aurora, was ticketed by police for failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident, according to police.
Pederson is scheduled to appear in court on the citation Nov. 11, police said.
