Jimmy John's will be relocating to the old Dairy Queen in Peru

Jimmy John's in Peru will be relocating to the former Dairy Queen building that was damaged in a May 2019 fire.

Peru officials confirmed Friday construction began on the building located at 1501 38th St.

The building will now be converted into a dual-tenant facility allowing room for two separate commercial businesses. A tenant has not yet been determined for the other vacancy.

No timeline of completion has been given at this time but the beginning of the construction phase is underway.
