Fire causes extensive damage to Plano home

UPDATED AT 5:12 P.M. WEDNESDAY, OCT. 21.

Little Rock-Fox Fire Protection District Firefighters extinguished a fire in a single story home in the 300 block of South Lew Street in Plano Wednesday afternoon.

Firefighters were summoned to the scene at approximately 4:20 p.m. as smoke from the blaze could be seen on the horizon as far away as Yorkville.

Firefighters had the fire put out within approximately 15-20 minutes after arriving at the scene.

Firefighters from numerous other area fire districts also responded with personnel and equipment.

Additional information on any injuries, cause of the fire and a damage estimate are pending from the fire district.
