Bears DT John Jenkins returns from thumb injury Sunday

Bears DT John Jenkins is back after missing three games with a thumb injury. Jenkins is active for Sunday’s game against the Carolina Panthers.

Jenkins was placed on the active roster Friday, following a stint on injured reserve. He tore a ligament in his thumb in Week 2 against the New York Giants.

Other notable players who are active Sunday are OL Sam Mustipher, who was just called up from the practice squad following James Daniels' injury, and DB Sherrick McManis, who missed two games with a hamstring injury.

Inactive for the Bears on Sunday is CB Duke Shelley, S Deon Bush, LG Arlington Hambright, WR Riley Ridley and OLB Trevis Gipson.

The Panthers will be without QB Will Grier, WR Curtis Samuel, CB Eli Apple, G Dennis Daley and DT Woodrow Hamilton, who are all listed as inactive on Sunday.
