Letter: Mark Gerhardt for judge

To the Editor:

We support Judge Mark Gerhart for McHenry County Circuit Judge. His almost 25 years of legal experience, including several years as an associate judge, qualified him to be unanimously appointed by the Illinois Supreme Court as a Circuit Judge.

Since 2019, he has conducted more jury trials than any other judge in McHenry County. He has presided over traffic, juvenile, family cases and is currently assigned to hear criminal jury trials.

He has also served nine years as an Assistant State’s Attorney in McHenry and Cook counties. Mark has held every executive board position on the McHenry County Bar Association and is a past president.

Mark’s legal experience enables him to hear and decide fairly and efficiently the matters that come before him and can help guide and shepherd our courts and our community in these rapidly changing times.

We have enjoyed our friendship with Mark and his family for several years and know him to be a man of great integrity. He has been involved in many aspects of the community including coaching Crystal Lake Little League baseball, Turning Point, serving on the safety team at his church and class administrator of the Crystal Lake Men’s Bible Study Fellowship Class.

Mark also taught Criminology at Trinity International University.

We hope you vote for Judge Mark Gerhardt on Tuesday, Nov. 3.
