Damon 'Snacks' Harrison tells Cordarrelle Patterson he's visiting Bears soon

Free agent defensive tackle Damon Harrison says he will visit with the Chicago Bears soon.

The former All-Pro who goes by the nickname "Snacks" considered retiring after the 2019 season. The eight-year veteran has played for the New York Jets, New York Giants, and most recently, the Detroit Lions. According to ESPN's Adam Schefter, Harrison will visit with the Seattle Seahawks next week.

Bears receiver/running back and Pro Bowl kick return man Cordarrelle Patterson hit up Harrison on Twitter on Friday.

Patterson wrote: "@snacks big fella. What's up with that @ChicagoBears visit?"

Harrison responded a few hours later, writing: "We gonna set one up after my first visit!"

Per the same ESPN report, the Green Bay Packers and the Cincinnati Bengals are also interested in Harrison.

The Bears need depth at defensive tackle. John Jenkins went on injured reserve this week with a thumb injury, which means he will miss at least three weeks. The Bears have been trying to fill the void left when nose tackle Eddie Goldman opted out before the 2020 season.
