Livingston County coronavirus update: 3 new cases; including a case younger than 1

40 cases remain active countywide

Three more Livingston County residents tested positive Wednesday for COVID-19.

A boy younger than 1, along with a man and a woman in their 60s, each tested positive for the virus and are recovering in isolation.

As of Wednesday, the Livingston County Health Department has received 10,984 COVID-19 test results. Of those, 368 COVID-19 tests have been confirmed positive, 322 of the previously reported confirmed cases have been removed from isolation, 40 cases remain active, two individuals are currently hospitalized, and six have resulted in death from complications related to COVID-19. Of those individuals who have tested positive, 37 were asymptomatic at the time of testing.

ZIP code areas with six or more confirmed cases include: Pontiac with 108 cases, Fairbury with 36, Dwight with 35, Forest with 15, Cornell with 13 and Long Point with 13.

Streator, which is mostly in La Salle County, has had 365 confirmed cases since the beginning of the pandemic.
