Two motorists were taken to OSF St. Elizabeth Medical Center in Ottawa following a two-vehicle crash Sunday southeast of Grand Ridge.
At 4:45 p.m. Sunday, deputies said Zachary Reardon, 29, of Streator, was eastbound on North 20th Road and entered ito the intersection with East 20th Road.
Reardon's vehicle was struck by a southbound vehicle driven by a 17-year-old juvenile, deputies said.
Following the impact, both vehicles entered into the southeast ditch and struck a utility pole.
Both drivers were taken to the Ottawa hospital by Grand Ridge EMS.
The 17-year-old driver was cited on complaints of failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident and failure to yield upon entering into an intersection.
