Frankfort trustee Keith Ogle to run for mayor in April 2021 election

Frankfort trustee Keith Ogle has decided to run for mayor of Frankfort.

Ogle recently made the announcement  the Arrowhead Bridge in Frankfort behind him as it “represents bridging our past with our future,” Ogle wrote in his candidacy announcement letter.

"The retirement announcement of Jim Holland was a bit of a surprise to many,” Ogle wrote. “But after 22 years, 16 years as mayor, I think he has earned the right to retire and we should all thank him for his dedication and service.”

In addition to serving as trustee, Ogle’s letter said he has served in several other elected positions and has a reputation for working hard.

Ogle said he has worked with staff to develop Frankfort’s economy and keep the village portion of the properly tax bill low.

Our village continues to be financially strong due to a conservative approach to budgeting and operations,” Ogle wrote.

He plans to assemble a team of like-minded individuals in the coming weeks and months.

”I believe our community needs a mayor who is willing to listen to all sides and make the best decision for our residents ahead of any personal agenda or inside dealmaking,” Ogle wrote.

Ogle moved to Frankfort in 2005. He has been married to Kim for 24 years. They a daughter, Krista.
