Prep Sports Roundup for Monday, Sept. 14: Waugh brothers lead Yorkville golfers to repeat at Ottawa Invite

BOYS GOLF

Ottawa Invite

Jonathan Waugh and Ryan Waugh shot matching scores of 76 for third and fourth, respectively, as the Foxes defended their Ottawa Invite title.Cole Yearsely finished 15th individually. Evan Stribiak rounded out the scoring for the Foxes.

Oswego East 161, Plainfield Central 174

Medalist Camden Bonney's 38 led the Wolves to a dual meet win over Plainfield Central at Mistwood. Gavin Hjelle shot a 40, Michael Hugelier a 41 and Brandon Alesia a 42 for Oswego East (9-0, 8-0 SPC).

Morris 166, Plano 189

Mason Accidentale shot a 41 and Xavier Padilla a 46 to pace Plano. Carson Gill and Jack Olivier each carded a 51.

GIRLS GOLF

Sandwich 211, LaSalle-Peru 228

Alijah Campbell shot a 42 to earn medalist honors, going even par over the last five holes, leading the Indians to a dual meet on Monday at Seneca Oaks Golf Club. Morgan Ross carded a 54, Grace Donahue a 57 and Hanna Reedy a 58 for Sandwich (5-1, 4-0).

Oswego Co-op 188, West Aurora 207

Medalist Katelin Hong shot a 43 to lead Oswego Co-op to a dual meet win over West Aurora. Teammate Shyell Lowe shot a 47, Katie O'Driscoll a 48 and Eryn Monn a 50 for Oswego Co-op (7-0, 5-0).

BOYS CROSS COUNTRY

Oswego East fresh-soph invite

Oswego East's sophomores scored 20 to 36 for Plainfield South and 80 for Marmion, led by top three finishers Alexander Das (11:24), Parker Nold (11:48) and Noel Velasquez (11:50).

Oswego East's freshmen scored 30 points with 46 for Marmion and 54 for Plainfield South. Dhairya Trivedi took second for Oswego East in 12:21.
