DuPage County reports 90 new COVID-19 cases Tuesday, no deaths

The DuPage County Health Department on Tuesday reported 90 new cases of COVID-19 in the county, with no deaths.

The county now has seen a total of 16,180 coronavirus cases including 544 deaths, according to the health department. The recovery rate among DuPage County cases as of September 8 was 95.3%.

The West Suburban region (DuPage and Kane counties) has seen four days of positivity increases and three days of hospital admission increases. The region's positivity rate remained flat at 5.8%. Currently, 34% of medical/surgical beds are available and 48% of ICU beds.

The Illinois Department of Public Health reported 1,466 new confirmed cases of COVID-19 and 20 additional deaths Tuesday.

By town, Wheaton has had 685 total cases, Glen Ellyn 509, Lombard 776, Villa Park 467, Hinsdale 333, Westmont 541, Downers Grove 621, Elmhurst 772, Warrenville 237 and Winfield 146. Addison has had 1,169 confirmed cases, Naperville 1,191, Carol Stream 867 and West Chicago 1,102.
