Motorcycle operator dies in car crash near I-80 in Joliet: coroner

The operator of a motorcycle was killed after he collided with another motor vehicle on South Chicago Street near Interstate 80, according to the Will County Coroner's Office.

At 3:45 p.m. Thursday, Henry R. Young, 55, of Lockport, was pronounced deceased in the intensive care unit of AMITA Health Saint Joseph Medical Center in Joliet, officials said.

The final cause and manner of Young's death will be determined at a later date pending the coroner's office review of police, autopsy and toxicological reports, officials said.
