Kendall County Sheriff’s reports

Domestic battery

Sheriff’s deputies responded to a call at about 1:12 a.m. July 28 for a report of domestic battery in the area of Millhurst and Sandy Bluff roads in the Fox Township. The incident is under investigation.

Contraband in a penal institution

Sheriff’s deputies took a report at 8:11 p.m. July 27 for an attempt to bring illegal contraband into the Kendall County Jail. The investigation continues.

Driving under the influence

Sheriff’s deputies responded to a call at 3:10 a.m. July 27 for report of a vehicle parked in the middle of the roadway in the area of West Anchor road and Marlin Drive in Oswego Township. Contact was made with the driver, Jennifer Hitt, 32, of the 2100 block of Gallant Fox Circle, Montgomery. During the investigation, police said Hitt was arrested, charged with DUI and was transported to the Kendall County Jail.

Aggravated battery

Sheriff’s deputies responded to a call at 12:25 a.m. July 27 in the 1100 block of Cornell Lane in Bristol Township for a report of an aggravated battery. The incident is under investigation.

Domestic battery

Sheriff’s deputies investigated a report of a domestic battery along the 13000 block of Galena Road in Little Rock Township. Police did not give a time or date of when the incident occurred or when police responded to a related call. Police said it was reported that two family members pushed each other. No arrest was made.

Mob action

Sheriff’s deputies responded to a call at 6:05 p.m. July 25 in the 1900 block of Hill Avenue in Oswego Township for a report of mob action. The incident is under investigation.

Criminal damage to property

Sheriff’s deputies are investigating a criminal damage to property report that occurred at the Silver Springs State Park in unincorporated Fox Township. The victim said that between 6:30 and 9:30 a.m. July 25, an unknown subject threw a rock at his vehicle, causing damage to the side of the vehicle.

Criminal damage to property

Sheriff’s deputies responded to the 13000 block of Galena Road in Little Rock Township to investigate damage done to a vehicle in a driveway. The victim said the hood of his vehicle was damaged between 8 p.m. July 25 and 11 a.m. July 26. The investigation continues.

Battery

Sheriff’s deputies responded to the 100 block of Harbor Drive on July 15 for a report of a battery. During the investigation, Tiara Gibson-Harris, 22, of the 100 block of Harbor Drive in Oswego Township, was arrested and charged with battery, police said. Police said charges were referred to the Kendall County States Attorney’s office.

Criminal damage to property

Sheriff’s deputies responded to a call at 10:05 p.m. July 24 in the 100 block of Dolores Street in Oswego Township for a report of criminal damage to property. The investigation continues.

Identity theft

Sheriff’s deputies received a report at 8:55 p.m. July 24 of an identity theft that occurred in the 8300 block of Newbridge Court in Na-Au-Say Township. The incident is under investigation.

Illegal dumping

Sheriff’s deputies responded to Harbor Drive in unincorporated Oswego for a report of illegal dumping. The investigation continues.

Warrant arrest

Sheriff’s deputies stopped Peter S. Plasencia, 24, of the 800 block of Symphony Drive, Aurora, for speeding in the area of Briarcliff Road and Boulder Hill Pass in Boulder Hill. Police did not provide a time when the stop occurred. Plasencia was taken into custody July 24 on a Kendall County warrant for driving on a suspended license. Sheriff’s deputies have declined sharing more information on driving with suspended license charges. Plasencia was transported to the Kendall County Jail and is being held in lieu of bond.

Theft

Sheriff’s deputies responded to a call at 6:59 p.m. July 23 in the 13000 block of Hale Road in Little Rock Township for a report of a theft that occurred sometime between 1 and 2:30 p.m. The investigation continues.

Aggravated assault

Sheriff’s deputies responded to a call at about 6:56 p.m. July 22 in the 0-100 block of Route 30 in Oswego Township for a report of a disturbance. The investigation continues.

Criminal damage to property

Sheriff’s deputies responded to a call at about 5:24 p.m. July 21 in the 2000 block of Light Road in Oswego Township for a report of criminal damage to property. The incident is under investigation.
