The Mindfulness Institute of Northwest Illinois is offering a 9-week online programs on mindfulness-based stress reduction and cancer recovery, via the Zoom video conference platform.
Topics of each 90-minute session include how the stress response works and the relaxation response’s impact on the body and brain; how to recognize personal responses to stress and elicit the relaxation response; stress management strategies – practicing mindfulness, breath work, inquiry and movement; and resiliency strategies restorative sleep, social support and physical activity.
