BatFest halloween event comes to downtown Batavia Oct. 26

Costume parade, trick-or-treating, games and more highlight festival

BatFest, Batavia's annual free Halloween-themed event, is Oct. 26 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. in downtown Batavia. The family-friendly event includes downtown Trick-or-Treating, Mothers' Club Parade, pumpkin roll, games and more.

Downtown Trick-or-Treating takes place from 10 a.m. to noon.

The final Farmers’ Market of the season kicks off the day on River Street with great local farm booths, smoothies at the ready and tasty hot food to satisfy your brunch hunger.

Try your hand at the Pumpkin Roll which will take place down Houston St. for a dollar a try. Don't miss the Dance Monster Mash at 10:30 a.m. and Thriller at 12:45 p.m. Stories and Songs at the Library will be hosted at 11:30 a.m. The annual Costume Contest on the Main Stage starts at 12:15 p.m. and Rover and Fluffy can get in the act during the Pet Costume Contest at 1 p.m.

It's a day of safe, fall fun the whole family can enjoy, in the heart of downtown Batavia.
