Alden-Hebron falls to Christian Life in 8-man game

Alden-Hebron played with the minimum number of players on Friday in its Illinois 8-Man Football Association loss to Christian Life, 48-14, in Rockford.

A-H (1-6) suffered its sixth consecutive loss, but Giants coach John Lalor was proud of the way his team battled with no reserve players.

“They played hard. We had our moments,” Lalor said. “They hung in there for a while, we just ran out of gas.”

Quarterback Thomas Webber hit Mikey Ellison for a 22-yard touchdown in the first quarter.

Nick Rapa scored the Giants’ other touchdown on a 3-yard run.

Webber was 7 of 14 passing for 108 yards. Rapa caught four passes for 93 yards.
