Police: Man found shot in front of Bolingbrook home

A 23-year-old man was shot and killed Saturday morning at a residence in Bolingbrook, police said.

Bolingbrook police and paramedics were dispatched to the 300 block of Ottawa Drive for a man who had been shot, according to a news release. Before police arrived, a subject was seen running from the scene. The victim was on the street in front of his home with multiple gunshot wounds. He was taken to an area hospital.

He was pronounced dead at 5:16 a.m. Saturday. Bolingbrook police said the shooting is under investigation, and no one was in custody as of midday Saturday. The name of the victim was being withheld pending notification of family. Police said this appeared to be a targeted and isolated shooting. This same residence was the target of a shooting in October 2018, according to the release.
