Magical night in Dixon

Carroll County Fair

MILLEDGEVILLE – The Carroll County Fair is at Schell Park/Carroll County Fairgrounds, 28374 Milledgeville Road, through Saturday.

Fairgoers will be treated to music, exhibits, a carnival, demolition derby, rodeo, tractor pull, and, of course, all that fair food.

‘Man of LaMancha’

MOUNT CARROLL – “Man of LaMancha” will be performed at 7:30 p.m. today and Saturday, and at 2 p.m. Saturday and Sunday at Timber Lake Playhouse, 8215 Black Oak Road.

Tickets cost $30 for adults, $25 for those 60 and older, and $20 for students and members of the military.

Music at the Mill

FRANKLIN GROVE – Music at the Mill, a musical variety show in which musicians of all kinds perform for 20 minutes each, begins at 7 p.m. today at Franklin Creek Grist Mill, 1893 Twist Road.

Citywide sales in Fulton

FULTON – Citywide sales at nearly 50 locations will run from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. today and Saturday.

Free maps are available at City Hall, Shell, Sunrise Restaurant, Central Bank, and Fulton Oil Mart, and on the Fulton Illinois Tourism Facebook page and city website.

Polo Car Show

POLO – The annual Polo car, truck and motorcycle show returns to the downtown Saturday from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. There also will be a trivia competition, music, and a 50-50 raffle.

Band wraps up its season

DIXON – Celebrate the 125th anniversary of the Old Settler’s Cabin and hear Dixon Municipal Band’s last concert of the season at 2 p.m. Sunday in President’s Park, 115 Lincoln Statue Drive.

Enjoy some Prophets-tunes

PROPHETSTOWN – Chuck Murphy performs from 6 to 8 p.m. Saturday at Eclipse Square on state Route 78, as part of Winning Wheels free summer concert series.
