Joliet mayor makes appointments to Rialto board, Plan Commission

Mayor Bob O’Dekirk has appointed new members to the Joliet Plan Commission and the board that oversees the Rialto Square Theatre.

Attorney James Capparelli was appointed to the Plan Commission, which reviews land development plans before they are presented to the city council.

Capparelli is an attorney with the Castle Law firm.

He replaces Tim Broderick, a plan commissioner who was appointed to the board that oversees the Rialto Square Theatre.

Broderick fills the position on the Will County Metropolitan Exposition and Auditorium Authority that was vacated when Joe Carlasare resigned from the board in March because of new responsibilities at work.

Broderick is a former board member of the Joliet Park District.

Both appointments unanimously were approved Tuesday by the City Council.
