Freedom House will host lunch and learn for clergy and pastoral staff

PRINCETON — Freedom House will offer a free Lunch and Learn for clergy and pastoral staff from Bureau, Henry, Marshall, Putnam and Stark counties from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 11, at 440 Elm Place in Princeton.

This free program will help provide victim-centered advocacy to those seeking guidance. Freedom House's trained staff will also provide an in-depth look at Freedom House’s essential services for survivors of domestic and sexual violence, including crisis intervention with victims.

The guest speaker will be the Rev. John Weborg, who has volunteered for 14 years at Freedom House and has completed the training curriculum prescribed by the Illinois Coalition Against Domestic Violence (ICADV) and Illinois Coalition Against Sexual Assault (ICASA). Throughout his many years of experience working with survivors of domestic violence and sexual assault, Rev. Weborg has supported survivors by providing counseling and medical advocacy.
