Kaitlyn Ziebell, a Huntley resident, was recently chosen to be a contestant on PBS' national talent search "Celebration of Music." Kaitlyn was chosen as a finalist from over 100 audition tapes.

Kaitlyn Ziebell is wrapping up eighth grade at Marlowe Middle School and will be entering Huntley High School in the fall. Kaitlyn has been singing and acting since she was in fourth grade, but her great love is singing. Kaitlyn has taken voice lessons, primarily in opera, since fifth grade.

Kaitlyn performs primarily in school productions having had roles in A Cowboy in King Arthur’s Court, The Lion King, Jr., Pirates vs Zombies, Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, and The Three Musketeers, before landing the leading role as Ariel in the Little Mermaid, Jr. Kaitlyn also sings competitively and is a two-time Granquist champion and won the SBC The Voice contest for her age division this year.
