St. Bede (170) beat host Princeton (171) with one stroke to spare Tuesday at Chapel Hill Golf Course. Kewanee came in at 193 in the Three Rivers triangular.
Medalist John Potthoff led St. Bede with a 38. Also for the Bruins, Peyton Pyszka had a 39, Nathan Potthoff a 46, Dylan Grammar a 47, Seth Ludford a 49 and Owen Espel a 57.
BV won the JV meet with Riverdale scoring 211 and St. Bede a 246.
For PHS, Keaton Burress, Conner Alter and Dylan Gross each had 43s, Ian Legner a 44, Billy Carr a 50 and Dillon Wright a 52.
Princeton’s Caleb Alter was F/S medalist at 43. Also for PHS, Trent Kloepping and Nolan Scott had 53s, Braden Murfin a 55, Jordan Eggers a 59 and Nolan Doran a 61.
PHS (204) won the F/S meet followed by Kewanee (215) and St. Bede (246).
Rams top BV, St. Bede: Riverdale made a successful trip to Spring Creek Wednesday, scoring 153 to defeat Bureau Valley (158) and host St. Bede (178).
BV’s Colton Novotny came away with medalist honors with a 1-under 34 on the front 9. He was followed by teammates Corbin Walsh (40), Spencer Marquez (41), Trent DeVenney (43), Garrett Pistole (46) and Ian Carl (46).
John Potthoff led the Bruins at 39 with Pyszka carding a 41, Nathan Potthoff a 48, Grammer a 50, Ludford a 55 and Espel a 57.
Storm splits: Newman (165) edged Bureau Valley (169) by four strokes Tuesday at Emerald Hill in Sterling. Sherrard followed at 193.
Carl was the BV team medalist at 41. Novotny added a 42 and Marquez and Pistole each shot 43s.

Tigresses ace L-P: Kelly VanDenBussche carded a 48 as Princeton (207) aced host L-P (221) at Oak Ridge Tuesday. Also for PHS, Jade Loftus had a 40, Abby Jensen a 54, Kiley Schenck a 55, Becky Hughes a 59 and Izzy Hall a 73.
PC edges Eureka: Putnam County scored a 195-198 win over visiting Eureka Tuesday at Edgewood Park. PC's Ali Ciucci took medalist honors at 43 with teammate Rylee Liles adding a 50 and Olivia Holmes and Taryn Grasser 51s.
Lady Bruins fall at El Paso: Host El Paso-Gridley and Pontiac both shot 205s with St. Bede scoring a 245 Tuesday at El Paso Country Club.
Andi Cattani led St. Bede with a 70 with Camell Carlson adding a 60, Alyssa Heitz a 66 and Morgan Grey a 69.
Storm splits: Bureau Valley (254) faced Prophetstown (239) and Rock Falls (276) with Lena-Winslow not fielding a full squad Thursday at Deer Valley. Freshman Mackenzie Law was medalist with a 55 for the Storm. Also for BV, Lily Pickard had a 65, Paige Twidell a 66, Elisabeth Sullivan a 68 and Regan Cook a 73.
Bureau Valley met host Annawan/Wethersfield Tuesday at Kewanee Dunes Golf Club. Mackenzie Law led BV with a 55 followed by Elisabeth Sullivan (65), Paige Twidell (66), Regan Cook (67) and Lily Pickard (71).
No team scores were kept as AW had just three golfers, headed by medalist Cece Lichow (47).
Boys soccer
Little Giants win: Rafa Puga had two goals and an assist to lead DePue past Kewanee 4-2 on the shores of Lake DePue Tuesday. Ivan Moreno and Jackson Heiden also scored.
The DePue JV won 2-0.
Girls tennis
PHS sweeps St. Bede: Host Princeton scored a 5-0 win over St. Bede Tuesday.
In singles play, Emma Proffitt defeated Emily Szcepaniak 7-5, 7-6 and Allison Blocki defeated Jorfan Kraml 6-0, 6-0. On the doubles courts, Mary Jeanne Brown and Maddie Eckard beat Haily Ator and Maggie Smith 6-1, 6-4, Alexis Borg and Julia Hochstatter defeated Pam Needs and Katelyn Kapraun 6-3, 6-3, and Kylee Mallery and Ali Borys defeated Meygan Echols and Kelly Considine 6-4, 6-4.
Bruins top Morris: St. Bede came back with a 3-2 win over Morris Thursday with wins by Emily Szcepaniak (6-4, 6-1) and Caroline Moskalwicz (6-4, 6-3) and Meyghan Echols and Kelly Considine (7-6, 4-6, 10-5) in doubles play.
Mendota tops PHS: Blocki had the lone win of the day for Princeton at home Thursday with a 6-0, 6-1 win at No. 2 singles.
The Princeton F/S picked up a 4-1 win with Abby Dionne-Jones (8-6), Kamila Klingenberg (8-1) in singles and Emma Zelenik and Maddie Devert (8-3) and Nyla Thompson and Kaewta Usaphrom (8-2) in doubles.
Cross country
Fieldcrest edges PHS: Fieldcrest snuck past host Princeton 27-28 in a warmup for Saturday's Coates Invitational at Zearing Park. Fieldcrest's Sydney White edged teammate Sadie White for top honors. Five PHS girls had season's bests, including Lauren McMillan (22:49), Elizabeth Orwig (24:27) and Kenley Grimmer (25:12), who placed 3-5, Beka Workman (77th, 25:34) and Anna Grey (13th, 27:55).
Fieldcrest (22) topped both Kewanee (50) and Princeton (54) in the boys race. Fieldcrest’s Ryan Gochanour headed the field in 18:25 with PHS’ Dillion Forbeck (19:06) placing third and Reece Bohm (20:04) taking fourth.
Tigers Xander D’Ambrosio (21:30), Sam May (23:06), Gabrien Graham (23:37), Chris Irlbeck (24:20) and Wyatt Workman (26:14) all ran season’s bests.
Schmidt wins: Hall senior Westley Schmidt (18:39) headed a co-ed field with Orion at Echo Bluff Tuesday. Freshmen Kaden Crowther (23:35) of Hall was the first girl.
