Vasilion Architects in Batavia celebrating 25 years of being in business

BATAVIA – A Batavia resident and designer of several local properties is celebrating 25 years in business.

Steve Vasilion is owner and lead designer of Vasilion Architects, which opened in 1990. Vasilion invites the public to celebrate his 25 years in private practice at an open house from 4 to 8 p.m. Nov. 5 at his business, 28 S. Water St., Suite 303, Batavia.

Vasilion’s design work includes the Peg Bond Center and its subsequent bandshell addition in downtown Batavia. In Geneva, he has designed additions at Delnor Hospital, Fox Valley Family Physicians and Fox Valley Orthopedics, according to his website.

Vasilion Architects also has a new website with a blog by Vasilion.

“As early as age 9, I remember telling my parents and teachers this is what I wanted to do,” Vasilion wrote on his blog.

Becoming an architect was a blend of Vasilion’s interest in visuals, drawing, math and engineering. Technology has changed residential and commercial architecture in the past 25 years, according to Vasilion. He augments his hand-drawn designs with three-dimensional computer renderings.

“I am especially grateful for the many wonderful clients who have helped my business grow and thrive,” Vasilion wrote.
