NEW LENOX – The Lincoln-Way Central High School music department recently inducted 36 students into the Tri-M Music Honor Society.

Lincoln-Way Chapter #153 of the Tri-M Music Honor Society was chartered Dec. 1, 1954, the first year the school was opened, making it one of the oldest chapters in the United States.

Students inducted in 2014 are: Abigail Bakotic, Faith Bothwell, Lauren Bulow, Becky Cepek, Alaina Clark, Autumn Cooper, Alexandria Dauer, Jacob Easley, Eli Gaier, Mia Gengo, Mercedes Heredia-Ferran, Bella Hernandez, Jalyn Hobbs, Rebecca Kahney, Isabella Kaminski, Cody Kolbus, Tyler Krzebiot, Kalley Latham, Kristan Lazarski, Haley Malok, Michael Maurer, Gillian Nevins, Kelly Newton, Shelby Padgett, Jennifer Perkne, Meghan Peters, Justin Rubin, Emily Shepard, Aimee Smidt, Olivia Smith, Cole Stencel, Joshua Swider, Christina Thorne, Allison Wesel and Thomas Wisinski.
