SENECA, Ill. — Mr. Raymond "Buzz" Timmons, 75, of Seneca, Ill., passed away Wednesday, May 9, 2012, at Morris Hospital.
A memorial service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Monday, May 14, at Stavanger Lutheran Church, with the the Rev. Philip Peterson officiating.
Born Sept. 23, 1936, in Seneca, Ill., to Melvin and Mary (Hochstetler) Timmons, "Buzz" graduated from Seneca High School in 1954. He married Marsha Myre on Dec. 7, 1957, at Bethel Lutheran Church in Ottawa, Ill.
Mr. Timmons farmed for 53 years in the Stavanger, Ill., area.
Surviving are his wife, Marsha; one son, Rick (Jody) Timmons of Seneca; two daughters, Michele Timmons of Seneca and Patty Dirker of Bloomington, Ill.; six grandchildren, Abby (Jesse) Fugitt, David Timmons, John Claggett, Jerry Claggett, Rebecca Schroeder, and Delaney Dirker; three great-grandchildren, Adalynn and Aubry Fugitt, and Sierra Berg; two sisters, Barb (Merlyn) Higgins and Diane (Richard) Partridge, both of Seneca; two brothers, Eugene (Sandra) Timmons of Seneca and Ronald Timmons of Marseilles, Ill.; his mother-in-law, Melva Myre; brother-in-law Bill Myre; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; one daughter, Karyn Timmons; one brother, Alvin Timmons; two sisters, Mabel Olsen and Edith Cade; and his father-in-law, Marshall Myre.
